- Dec 13, 2017
Boston Residential Group has sold a 43,120-square-foot first class office and retail building located in Cambridge, Mass. CBRE brokered the sale, representing the seller and procuring the buyer, Intercontinental Real Estate Corp.
1280 Massachusetts Ave. is a five-story, mixed-use building, situated at the entry to Harvard University on a 0.28-acre site. The property offers direct connection to MBTA Red Line Harvard Station.
The building, designed by Symmes, Maini & McKee Associates, was constructed in 1985. The property is fully leased to office tenants Harvard University, Equity Resources Investments and Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU), as well as retail tenants Tatte and Qdoba.
The CBRE/NE capital markets team included Dave Pergola and Brian Doherty, who have been involved in transactions of more than $200 million in the Harvard Square area. The duo also represented the seller in the recent $45 million sale of Amazon’s robotics division headquarters, a 209,000-square-foot R&D building in North Reading, Mass., which serves as global headquarters for Amazon’s robotics division.
