A company with more than 100 years of history in Downtown Cincinnati is leaving its current location but will be hanging out its shingle nearby. From now on, Fosdick & Hilmer’s new home will be the Huntington Center.

The engineering consulting company will occupy 16,387 square feet in the 23-story building at 525 Vine St. Bill Schneller, vice president in CBRE’s Cincinnati office, represented Fosdick & Hilmer. Scott Yards, first vice president, and Travis Likes, vice president, represented the landlord, Pittsburgh-based McKnight Realty Partners.

Fosdick & Hilmer is currently located at 309 Vine St., where it occupies 20,000 square feet. The company was forced to look for a new home after Village Green purchased the property for $10 million last year. The new owners plan to turn the eight-story Beaux Arts structure at 309 Vine into a mix of apartments, penthouses, retail, restaurants and offices.

“Fosdick & Hilmer was looking for a space that was in the heart of the Central Business District and had access to many amenities,” Schneller said in a statement. He also added that the company, which was founded in Cincinnati in 1905, took this opportunity to upgrade its space. “Their new space at Huntington Center will be beneficial in attracting and retaining key employees.”
