Global industrial real estate owner, operator and developer AMB Property Corp. has had a busy third quarter when it comes to the 189,000-square-foot AMB Beacon Lakes Building 12 in Miami. AMB has signed leases for 124,700 square feet during this time.

The building is located at Beacon Lakes, a joint venture of AMB and Flagler. It sits on 478 acres west of Miami International Airport and northwest of the intersection of State Road 836 and the Florida Turnpike.

According to AMB, the newly leased space will be used by two unnamed freight forwarding companies. AMB managing director Jay Cornforth said that the business park is a prime location as it is very close to the Miami airport.

As of June 30, 2010, AMB’s Florida portfolio totaled 8.5 million square feet of operating and development properties, with more than 6.9 million square feet of that space in Miami. Its total portfolio is focused on major hub and gateway distribution markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
