Washington, DC—A $97,740 Business Solutions incentive rebate check was presented by Michigan’s largest utility, Consumers Energy, to American MITSUBA Corp. for the company’s participation in the energy efficiency program for commercial and industrial customers.
The rebates for energy efficiency upgrades were given to American MITSUBA Corp. for the upgrades the company installed to its exterior building lights and parking lot lights, compressed air system upgrades, and HVAC controls to reduce electric consumption. The upgrades are expected to save the corporation about $105,000 in energy costs annually.
“We’re pleased to work with our business and residential customers to provide these incentives which help our customers reduce demand on energy and realize significant cost savings,” said Scott Silverthorn, corporate account manager for Consumers Energy. “This program is one way we work to increase sustainability and help achieve a legacy of leaving Michigan better than we found it.”
