Bozzuto Homes, a subsidiary of The Bozzuto Group, is working hard to answer the need for condominiums in the Washington, D.C., area. In the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood, at 460 New York Ave., the company is developing an 11-story condominium community and has recently celebrated the ”topping out” of the building.
The new community is called 460NYA. Bozzuto broke ground on the project in the fall of 2013 and expects to finish it in early 2015. It will feature 63 loft-inspired condominiums with expansive windows, hardwood floors and contemporary kitchens. Community amenities include a 3,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, a community lounge, an innovative lift parking system and more.
Bozzuto said the project has been successful so far and that the “pace of sales for 460NYA has been tremendous.” According to the company, almost half of the residences are already sold.
The topping-out event signified the final construction concrete pour in the construction sequence. Bozzuto, in a joint venture with NVCommercial Real Estate Fund I, will now start work on the final phase of construction. It calls for the installation of a modern glass-and-metal-panel façade, as well as boutique-style interiors.
“Milestones such as this topping-out event make the homes we build all the more real to us and the community,” Tom Baum, president of Bozzuto Homes, said in a statement for the press. “460NYA has been an exciting and much-anticipated project for Bozzuto and the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood, and we look forward to unveiling the final project for residents and neighbors soon.”
