Waltham, Mass.—Commercial real estate property management software company Building Engines recently announced it has appointed Phil Mobley as its new head of research.

Prior to being recruited by the Boston area CRE firm, Mobley served for nine years as vice president of Atlanta-based Kingsley Associates, a company dedicated to research, benchmarking and consulting in the real estate field. In 2014, he founded Koine Communications, a real estate research and content strategy company. His track record also includes working as a benchmarking delivery advisor for Deloitte and stints with Infotools, RaceTrac Petroleum and BlueCross.

Mobley holds an MBA in financial and statistical analysis from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business and a BA in political science and economics from the same university. He is also a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Georgia.

“Phil’s extensive background in primary research will help us serve our clients by offering them more insight into operational performance and tenant engagement at their properties,” said Scott Sidman, senior vice president of Building Engines, in a prepared statement.
