A California-based projection screen manufacturer is expanding on the East Coast in an attempt to keep up with the rising demand for its products. Elite Screens Inc. has offices all over the globe, from Australia, to Japan and France, and now it will open a new location in the city of Westminster.
The company recently acquired an office and warehouse building in Westminster’s Air Business Park. The 84,000-square-foot facility at 151 Airport Drive was previously occupied by Marada Industries. Now, it will operate as Elite Screens’ Midwest and East Coast hub for logistics and service support, and will help the company deliver its products to customers located in these two regions in the same time as it does for those in the western states. The Carroll County facility will carry the same stock items as the California location.
Elite Screens’ new building was constructed in 1984. It is located on Route 97, close to Route 140 and the Carroll County regional airport. The California-based manufacturer did not reveal the acquisition price, but PropertyShark data shows that the property is currently valued at a little over $2.2 million. The real estate website also indicates that Toronto-based Granite REIT was the seller.
