Caribou Coffee and Bruegger’s Bagels announced new co-branded locations in Minnesota, with plans for more locations to follow around the country.
The first two locations in the Twin Cities are scheduled to open this month, allowing guests to be able to enjoy high-quality coffees and fresh-baked bagels in one place. The first store is located across from HarMar Mall, at 2111 Snelling Ave. N. in Roseville, the second at Sun Ray Shopping Center at 2133 Hudson Road in St. Paul. Both locations have been retrofitted to accommodate high-quality, handcrafted offerings from both brands. Each store will feature a combined checkout station and a large seating area with a fireplace.
Claude Bergeron, CEO of Bruegger’s Bagels’ parent company, Le Duff America, said: “We have enjoyed a strong partnership with locally based Caribou Coffee in Minnesota for many years. This is our largest market, and the co-branded locations are a natural evolution, strengthening both brands and giving our guests the best of both worlds.”
Although both companies are independently owned, they share a long history. Caribou Coffee opened its first location in Edina, Minn., in 1992, with a door that connected it to Bruegger’s. The two brands now have 10 side-by-side locations in the Twin Cities and one in Raleigh, N.C.
“Our guests have long known that Bruegger’s Bagels and Caribou Coffee are the perfect combination, with our high-quality, handcrafted beverages and Bruegger’s Bagels’ authentic New York-style bagels,” said Caribou Coffee President & CEO Mike Tattersfield. “We’re thrilled our new concept combines quality and convenience, and the partnership allows both brands to continue to focus on what each does best.”
