Carpenter will be relocating its corporate headquarters to the BNY Mellon building at 1735 Market St., this fall. The company’s primary manufacturing plant in Reading, Pa., will remain in Berks County, along with 2,300 jobs. The plant is part of the company’s Specialty Alloys Operations segment.
Carpenter’s move to Philadelphia will bring approximately 100 positions to the city. The company will benefit from better access to transportation, customer markets, world-class universities, as well as increased visibility with broad talent pools.
James Scott and Jim Scott, Jr. of Colliers International represented Carpenter in this transaction. The landlord is Equity Commonwealth.
