Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty promoted Jesse Knight to managing principal broker for Portland Metro realty operations. He will lead momentum for the real estate powerhouse in Lake Oswego, Portland, Vancouver and Oregon Coast markets.

The former broker at Willamette Realty Group brings a strong background in the technology sector. Prior to joining Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty, he was a business development manager at GoTo.com–now Yahoo!–and he founded Rose City Real Estate. Knight will replace the firm’s former Managing Principal Broker Tim Cook, who passed away last fall.

“The power of the Sotheby’s brand cannot be overstated—it’s just an incredibly influential brand to align with whether you’re a broker, a home buyer or seller,” said Knight. “I see clearly how brokers can create and accentuate their own individual identity within this potent brand and absolutely excel. There’s instant legitimacy of excellence with the Cascade Sotheby’s name behind our work—which is true for all real estate price points, not just luxury homes.”

Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty recently surpassed $1 billion in closed sales and continues to open brokerages in Portland Metro markets and the Oregon Coast. Sotheby’s International Realty also added a new CMO at its Madison, N.J., office.
