CBC Alliance Increases NYC Presence via Merger with Tarter Stats O’Toole
- Jan 27, 2014
Continuing its national growth plan, Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance has increased its presence in New York City in one fell swoop by bringing commercial real estate firm Tarter Stats O’Toole into the fold.
“NYC will be our flagship office, and the opportunity to continue to build on our foundation is critical to our goal of being the firm of choice for each market in which we conduct business,” Obie Walli, CEO of CBC Alliance, told Commercial Property Executive.
With more than 30 years on the real estate scene, TSO has built quite a name for itself. The firm joins CBC Alliance with a brokerage portfolio exceeding 3 million square feet of properties. “The TSO group is an important addition to our organization,” Obie said. “They bring the talent and expertise to enhance our already strong New York City team of professionals.” TSO’s three partners, Catherine O’Toole, Stephen Tarter, and Nora Stats, have made the move to the CBC Alliance team, as have seven brokers.
With the completion of the TSO merger, CBC Alliance finds itself ahead of schedule with its growth strategy in New York City. The brokerage company’s next move there will involve building an investment sales division.
CBC Alliance’s focus this year, however, extends beyond the Big Apple. Earlier this month, the firm announced that it had increased its footprint in metropolitan Dallas/Fort Worth through a merger with Arlington, Texas-based SCM Real Estate Services. And there’s more to come in 2014. Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Washington, D.C., are on CBC Alliance’s expansion list. Good choices. San Francisco has been named the top commercial real estate market in the country in PwC and the Urban Land Institute’s Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2014 report.
