CBRE Chicago Welcomes New Senior Director

CBRE has hired Andria Winters, a former executive with the Illinois Department of Commerce (DCEO), as senior director of business services. Winters will lead the advisory and transaction services crew and will be based in the company’s Chicago office.
The team specializes in serving clients “across the spectrum, from startup tech ventures to some of the most notable Fortune 100 companies” at the local and international level, according to Kyle Kamin, executive vice president with CBRE.
Broad professional background
During her stint as assistant director with DCEO, Winters managed the agency’s 360 employees as well as a $1 billion budget. She also launched Illinois Innovation Council, focused on boosting the Chicago area’s reputation as a tech and business hub.
Winters was also the co-founder and COO of Intersect Illinois, a private not-for-profit company created to assist recruiting efforts within the Illinois business sector, and she also served as deputy legislative director in the U.S. Senate. The projects she coordinated or assisted include names such as ConAgra, GE Healthcare and Transportation Digital Solutions, Haribo, MarsWrigley, Glassdoor, Duracell, Peapod, Siemens, Flex-N-Gate, Vetter and Fresenius Kabi.
Her experience within the corporate sector is the result of several positions she held with Motorola Mobility, Google and Lenovo. While at Motorola, Winters created and managed the company’s nationwide state public policy and public affairs practice and served as director of strategic initiatives.
