The Christ Hospital announced last week that it will open an outpatient center in Northern Kentucky. The hospital already has an outpatient center in Anderson Township and started work on another one in Green Township earlier this year.

The outpatient center will be located in Fort Wright, at 1949 Dixie Highway, in the former Stein Mart location. Initial services and physician practices offered will include family medicine, cardiovascular care and screening services, diagnostic imaging (X-ray, screening mammography and general ultrasound), wound healing, obstetrics and gynecology, and a laboratory.

In a news release, Vic DiPilla, chief business development officer with Christ Hospital, said that “this location in Fort Wright offers easy access from two exits off I-71/75 and also gives us room to grow in the future.” The 44,000-square-foot center is scheduled to open in spring 2012.

Earlier this year, the Christ Hospital started work on a 68,000-square-foot complex in Green Township. It will be a three-story medical office complex located at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Filview Circle. To be designed and built by Al. Neyer Inc. with interior design by GBBN Architects, the facility will be among the first in western Hamilton County to be geared to meet LEED Silver standards.

Established in 1889, the Mount Auburn-based Christ Hospital offers a wide range of medical, surgical and testing services at more than 80 locations throughout the Cincinnati area. With more than 4,000 employees and recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals, it has been named Cincinnati’s Most Preferred Hospital for 16 consecutive years by the National Research Corp. and has been granted Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in nursing care.
