Cohen Investment Group has purchased two Airport Mini Storage self-storage facilities, totaling 472 units in Garden City, a suburb of Savannah, Ga. The buyer plans to rebrand the properties as Storage Depot of Savannah.

Situated at 1333 Lynah Ave. and 520 Bourne Ave., the properties are approximately 5 miles from each other in the industrial complex of Savannah, near Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. In addition, both assets have access to freeways 21 and 80 and Interstate 516, and are close to downtown Savannah, which is around 6 miles away. The facilities comprise climate-controlled units ranging from 50 to 300 square feet and feature drive-up access, gate, security cameras and parking spaces, Yardi Matrix data shows.

“Cohen Investment Group is very pleased to be adding these two ‘value-add’ self-storage assets to our expanding self-storage portfolio. We believe Savannah is becoming the next emerging coastal city based on its desirable climate, aviation and nearby automotive manufacturing, along with a strong Port of Georgia,” said Hugh Cohen, president of Cohen Investment Group, in prepared remarks.
