Construction Starts on $50M W. Hollywood Apartment Complex
- May 18, 2012
NMS Properties has kicked off construction on the latest entrant in West Hollywood’s upscale multifamily rental market. The $50 million NMS @ LA Cienega is rising near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Westmount Drive en route to a scheduled July 2013 opening. The project will expand the developer’s 1,200-unit portfolio in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Project architect Killefer Flammang has designed a 125-unit, five-story structure that will incorporate dining and entertainment venues, plus 7,500 square feet of street level retail. Plans call for one and two-bedroom units with high ceilings and access to common roof gardens.
Wade Killifer, a principal with the architectural firm, noted that the focal point of the structure will be a ‘three-story horizontal plaster element” stretched out over a large part of the complex’s façade that makes way for full-height glazing on the building’s corner, according to RENTV.com.
