CREG Appoints New SVP

Baltimore—Chesapeake Real Estate Group LLC announced that Whit MacCuaig, who has worked as development manager for the company since 2014, has been promoted to senior vice president, development and finance.
As senior vice president, MacCuaig will oversee the company’s day-to-day development activities, including executing strategies for new buildings, the redevelopment of existing properties, managing tenant build-out programs, interacting with contractor companies and working as a liaison with local government.
MacCuaig is a certified public accountant in the State of Maryland. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Baltimore and an MBA degree from Loyola College of Maryland.
“With diversified experience in multiple disciplines, Whit is able to comfortably function in two critical roles for our company,” Jim Lighthizer, founder & managing partner, said in a prepared statement. “Our ability to depend on the in-house resources provided by Whit with finance and development counsel provides significant advantages to our company.”
CREG currently has 2.2 million square feet of industrial projects in some phase of development and 3.2 million square feet of industrial, office and retail under management in the Mid-Atlantic region.
