Cresa Expands NYC Team

Cresa has welcomed Nicholas Markel as its newest vice president. He will be based in the company’s New York City office. Markel has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience and has represented a wide array of prestigious companies throughout his career, including Rockefeller Financial, UGG Australia and Mount Sinai Health Systems.
Prior to joining the company, he was managing director at Vesta Real Estate Advisors, where he acted as business development and tenant representation specialist. Before that, he served as vice president at Deutsche Bank’s corporate services real estate department. From 2011 to 2017, he held various positions within Cushman & Wakefield, including director, senior associate and assistant property manager.
Markel received a B.A. in business from Franklin & Marshall College. He is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Other members of Cresa’s New York City team includes Barry Lewan, appointed last July.
