Crescent Communities is developing Crescent Westshore, a 374-unit luxury apartment community in Tampa’s Westshore area.

Situated on 5.3 acres in a thriving business and retail district, the property will add a distinctive living option it currently lacks to improve the neighborhood’s live-work-play balance.

“Crescent is focused on bringing luxury communities with best in-class amenities to the places where people want to live, work and play,” Jay Curran, Crescent Communities’ senior vice president, told Commercial Property Executive. “Crescent Westshore is ideally located to give residents easy access to top employers and destination retailers and restaurants as well as connectivity to the other areas of Tampa. With the community’s excellent location and best in-class amenities, residents can have it all.”

Crescent Westshore will offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes. Amenities include two resort-style, saltwater pools, an outdoor grilling area and a sports courtyard with full-sized bocce ball court.

Located at the intersection of West Boy Scout Boulevard and Lois Ave., the community is close by Westshore’s International Plaza and Bay Street Mall, which includes Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Apple, Burberry, Crate & Barrel, Fleming’s, Brio and Capital Grille.

Additionally, Tampa International Airport is less than five minutes away.

“This is a growing, vibrant area that currently lacks a distinctive multi-family living option,” Curran said. “Crescent Westshore will fulfill that need and enhance the area’s live-work-play balance.

According to Curran, Westshore is one of Tampa’s major employment centers and is home to some of the area’s top destination retailers and restaurants. In fact, more than 4,000 businesses call Tampa’s Westshore district home with nearly 100,000 employees and 12 million square feet of office space.

Crescent is no stranger to Florida, as Crescent Westshore is the fifth multi-family community it has developed in that state in the past few years and it’s third in Tampa, joining Crescent Crosstown and Crescent Bayshore.

The latter was part of a $700 million sale in October where nine of Crescent’s multi-family properties in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina were sold to two separate buyers.

Crescent Westshore is projected to open in the summer of 2016.
