Since the economic downturn has considerably restricted real estate investment activity across all sectors, investors are looking for ways to expand on underperforming assets. Cypress Equities and SRS Real Estate Partners, formerly Staubach Retail, with plans to produce new resolutions for each stage of the development process, have joined together to create a new service portfolio called Managed Services, which is designed to enhance underperforming assets and to assist developers, lenders, property owners and investors to strategically position their real estate portfolios through planning, analysis and execution.“By bringing together Cypress Equities and SRS Real Estate Partners, Managed Services will be able to leverage the core competencies of each group while creating a real estate synergy unlike anything in the marketplace,” Clay Smith, CEO & president for SRS Real Estate Partners said in a release. Cypress Equities develops, operates, manages, and invests in retail, residential, mixed-use, and resort properties across the United States and offshore. Currently, the firm has more than $2 billion in projects with over 6 million square feet under development and management. The joint venture carries out an integrated analytical approach that applies a mixture of different specialties to define the value of real estate assets.
