DCT Industrial Appoints Jay Mitchell as Senior Vice President

With over 30 years of experience under his belt, Jay Mitchell joins DCT Industrial Trust as Senior VP in Atlanta.

AtlantaDCT Industrial Trust, a leading industrial real estate company, recently announced that Jay Mitchell has joined the company as senior vice president and market officer in the firm’s Atlanta office.

In his new role, Mitchell will be responsible for all property and market-related activities including all development, acquisitions, leasing and asset management in the Atlanta, Memphis, and Nashville markets. DCT Industrial owns and operates 44 buildings in these markets, totaling 11.8 million square feet with an additional 1.5 million square feet under development.

Mitchell joins DCT Industrial with over 30 years of real estate experience, most recently serving as senior vice president and regional director at IDI Gazeley Brookfield Logistics Properties. Mitchell’s tenure in commercial and industrial real estate has included various roles in brokerage, asset management, development and leasing. In his latest role, he was responsible for more than 10 million square feet of industrial development with an estimated market value of $500 million.

Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
