A partnership between The Dow Hotel Co. (DHC) and an unnamed institutional investor has acquired the Holiday Inn San Jose-Silicon Valley hotel in San Jose, Calif. DHC will also oversee a $15 million renovation while operating the asset. Improvements include restaurant, exterior and entrance upgrades, as well as certain guestroom enhancements.
Located at 1350 North 1st St., the 354-key hotel is just over a mile from San Jose International Airport. Levi Stadium and the Pacific Coast Highway are both easily accessible from the property.
Common area amenities include:
- outdoor pool
- fitness center
- on-site laundry
- 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space
- 10,220-square-foot ballroom
- lobby lounge
- outdoor fire pits
“With its vibrant economy and numerous business and leisure demand generators, Silicon Valley continues to command some of the highest rates in the country,” said Murray Dow, founder & president of DHC, in prepared remarks. “With our extensive experience in the Bay Area, we are confident the hotel will benefit from a capital influx and improved management and marketing systems as it regains its rightful place as the market and segment leader.”
In June, InterContinental Hotels Group completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of a 150-key Holiday Inn hotel in Little Rock, Ark.
