Donohoe Construction Co. last week celebrated topping out 625 H St., N.E., in the District. The $55.3 million multifamily project reached the important milestone on July 2, when the final beams were placed at the project’s highest point.
Donohoe, one of the D.C. area’s leading general contractors, is building 625 H St. for JAIR LYNCH Development Partners. The 464,876-square-foot building was designed by Hord Coplan Macht. It broke ground in February 2014 and, if everything goes according to plan, the new multifamily community should be completed by next spring. It will deliver a total of 307 units to D.C.’s Near Northeast neighborhood.
The project consists of a nine-story concrete apartment building with 181 units and a five-story wood frame building with 126 units. It will feature three levels of below-grade parking and ground-floor retail, as well as many other amenities, including a courtyard with a bocce court, a fitness room, a rooftop pool, a multi-purpose room and a library.
Look for an upcoming Q&A to find out more about the 625 H St,. N.E., project!
