Donohoe Reaches the Top at 625 H

The $55.3 million multifamily project currently under development at 625 H St. NE, in the District, has reached an important milestone. On Thursday, July 2, Donohoe Construction Company, the general contractor, treated the project team members to a Topping Out lunchoen to celebrate the placement of the final beams at the project’s highest point.

 625 H StreetDonohoe Construction Co. last week celebrated topping out 625 H St., N.E., in the District. The $55.3 million multifamily project reached the important milestone on July 2,  when the final beams were placed at the project’s highest point.

Donohoe, one of the D.C. area’s leading general contractors, is building 625 H St. for JAIR LYNCH Development Partners. The 464,876-square-foot building was designed by 625 H Topping OutHord Coplan Macht. It broke ground in February 2014 and, if everything goes according to plan, the new multifamily community should be completed by next spring. It will deliver a total of 307 units to D.C.’s Near Northeast neighborhood.

The project consists of a nine-story concrete apartment building with 181 units and a five-story wood frame building with 126 units. It will feature three levels of below-grade parking and ground-floor retail, as well as many other amenities, including a courtyard with a bocce court, a fitness room, a rooftop pool, a multi-purpose room and a library.
