DoubleTree Adds Hotel in Thriving NoVa Hub

Located within walking distance of Virginia’s largest shopping mall, the 168-key property is owned and managed by B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group.

Hilton opened DoubleTree McLean Tysons in McLean, Va. The property, which is owned and managed by B. F. Saul Co. Hospitality Group, switched to the Hilton flag after a multi-million-dollar revamp.

Located at 1960 Chain Bridge Road—halfway between Dulles International Airport and downtown Washington, D.C.—the 168-key property is close to the Interstate 495-Dulles Access Road interchange, within the Tysons Tech Corridor. The hotel is located in a very dense employment hub and is close to a great number of office buildings

The property is situated within walking distance of the Tysons Corner metro station for the Silver Line and the 2.4 million-square-foot Tysons Corner Center, the largest shopping mall in the state and one of the largest in the U.S. Tysons Galleria, another major retail destination, is also nearby.

The newly renovated property offers:

  • two dining options
  • indoor heated pool
  • 24-hour gym
  • in-room coffee makers and refrigerators

DoubleTree McLean Tysons will soon feature 5,700 square feet of meeting and event space.

A thriving hub

“Tysons Corner, home to a number of Fortune 500 companiesincluding Hiltoncontinues to grow as a business hub and as a destination for dining, shopping and entertainment,” said Dianna Vaughan, global head & senior vice president of DoubleTree by Hilton, in prepared remarks.

The area is, indeed, rapidly growing, in part due to the arrival of the Silver Line, which expanded to McLean, Tysons Corner, Greensboro and Spring Hill in 2014. The Boro, a 4.2 million-square-foot mixed-use project which broke ground in 2016, is located just half a mile northwest of the new DoubleTree hotel.
