Duke Realty Tapped to Build New Kuehne + Nagel Southeastern Headquarters

Global logistics service provider Kuehne + Nagel, Inc.—a unit of Swiss-based Kuehne + Nagel AG—has signed a built-to-suit lease with Duke Realty for its new southeastern headquarters.
Wes Hardy, vice president leasing, represented Duke Realty in the transaction. Kuehne + Nagel, Inc. was represented by Bayne Porter of CBRE.
In order to accommodate Kuehne + Nagel, Duke Realty will develop a new 211,000-square-foot office and warehouse distribution facility in its 400-acre, mixed-use business park, Camp Creek Business Center. The Camp Creek location—approximately three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport—will serve as an integrated global logistics gateway for Kuehne + Nagel.

With an estimated completion date set for the second quarter 2013, the new building will be located at 4100 North Commerce Dr., close to the main entrance of the Camp Creek Business Center. Designed to house approximately 300 employees, the new location will more than double the space the company occupies at its current location in Forest Park.
Duke Realty will equip the new logistics center with bonded, class 3 warehousing space; consolidation and de-consolidation services; customs brokerage; and TSA security screening. It will also have a secure cage for high-value cargo; 1,000 square-feet of temperature-controlled space to accommodate the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry; and special cargo equipment to handle oversized products such as vehicles and engines.
