FRHI Hotels & Resorts to Open 7 Properties in Key International Markets in 2014

FRHI Hotels & Resorts (FRHI) will open a collection of seven properties in 2014. The new hotels, totaling 1,300 guestrooms, will be located in Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Indonesia.

FRHI Hotels & Resorts (FRHI), the parent company of luxury hotel brands Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, will open a collection of seven properties in 2014. The new hotels, totaling 1,300 guestrooms, will be located in Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Indonesia.

In Russia, FRHI will open two new Swissôtel properties, just in time for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

Located about 35 miles from downtown Sochi, Swissôtel Sochi Krasnaya Polyana will feature 166 guestrooms and suites, including six Mountain View Penthouse Suites. Additionally, Swissôtel Sochi Kamelia, a beachfront resort overlooking the Black Sea, will offer 203 guestrooms and suites, as well as two restaurants.

In Turkey, the Swissôtel Bodrum Beach will open on the waterfront in Turgutreis. The resort will comprise 66 guestrooms and suites, as well as villas and duplex terraces totaling 72 private residences. Guests will have access to indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, a Pürovel Spa & Sport, as well as to a range of sporting activities, including surfing, diving and other water sports.

Also in Turkey, the Raffles Istanbul hotel will open within the new Zorlu Center, one of the largest developments in Istanbul and the country’s first and only mixed-use project. The new lodging facility will feature 130 guestrooms and 51 suites, a ballroom with a large foyer, two restaurants with two bars, swimming pools, a helipad and an approximately 32,300-square-foot signature Raffles Spa, one of the largest in the city.

In Saudi Arabia, FRHI will open Fairmont Riyadh, Business Gate, a luxurious 287-key hotel with dining venues, spa and fitness facilities. The property will be part of a mixed-use development project that will also include a convention center and commercial space.

In the UAE, Fairmont Ajman will offer 252 guestrooms and suites, including two penthouses. Located on the Corniche, the new beachfront resort will feature an all-day dining outlet, a lobby lounge, a contemporary eatery offering Turkish cuisine, an adjoining cocktail bar, a shisha terrace, a poolside bar, as well as indoor and outdoor meeting facilities.

In the heart of the central business district of Jakarta in Indonesia, FRHI will open the 180-key Raffles Jakarta. The hotel will be part of the prestigious Ciputra World Jakarta development and will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty Chinese restaurant, various bars and lounges, a poolside outlet, a ballroom, four meeting rooms and an 11,840-square-foot Raffles Spa.
