Fuze Relocates HQ to Boston
- May 17, 2017
Fuze, the leading cloud-based communications solution provider, moved its headquarters to Boston. The move reflects the company’s plan to scale operations to meet market demand, prepare for the next phase of growth and invest in the mobile workforce.
Located at 2 Copley Place, the 51,000-square-foot space will house 300 employees with room to accommodate twice as many workers as the company grows. The new office features 20 collaborative spaces equipped for global video conferences, a mix of larger meeting rooms and smaller huddle spaces, and consolidates the company’s operations, management, sales and customer service teams.
The company’s executive leadership consulted with its team and came up with the most important needs the new headquarters has to meet: accessibility, a location close to transportation for employees and clients; flexibility, a fluid work space with sit/stand stations and small collaborative environments; and team building, events to promote networking across all departments.
“We conducted a thorough evaluation of options across the Boston area incorporating feedback from employee surveys, workplace studies such as our own, and commuter data. We heard from our employees that 70 percent were already working from home at least one day a week and many would like to work from home more using our tools instead of commuting,” said Steve Kokinos, co-founder & executive chairman of Fuze, in prepared remarks. “We realized that both the location and amount of space we thought we needed was completely off versus how our employees’ work habits had changed using our voice, video, and messaging tools themselves, as well as what those changes meant for what they wanted in an office.”
