BostonColliers recently announced it has facilitated a new lease for global consulting company Arup, helping the firm relocate from Cambridge to The Hub’s Financial District.

For the past 17 years, Arup’s Boston area office was located at Brickman’s 955 Massachusetts Ave. mid-rise in Cambridge, where the company occupied 12,577 square feet. Arup is now moving in the heart of downtown—Oxford Properties’ 60 State St.—where it will occupy 16,175 square feet.

One of Financial District’s most prominent high-rises, the 38-story, Class A, LEED Silver-certified 60 State St. was completed in 1977 and saw cosmetic renovations in 2013. According to Yardi Matrix, the 912,000-square-foot office skyscraper owned by Oxford Properties Group sits on a 1.3-acre lot and is subject to an unsubordinated net ground lease held by The Druker Company.

Developed by Boston-headquartered Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 60 State St.’s most recent assessment estimates the office property at $362.7 million.

The 509-foot-tall skyscraper, which is directly adjacent to Faneuil Hall, currently has 12 suites available immediately, adding up to approximately 110,000 square feet. This brings the skyscraper’s occupancy level to little over 88 percent.
