Las Vegas—The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR) has unveiled plans for its new headquarters building that will be located in the southwest part of Sin City, close to Rainbow Boulevard and the 215 Beltway. Construction of the new facility is slated for completion in January 2017, with move-in scheduled for fall 2017.

The 30,000-square-foot, two-story property will be developed as a concrete tilt-up building and will feature classrooms spacious enough to seat 300 members and better accommodate member services than the prior building. In addition, approximately 280 parking stalls are planned to surround the building. GLVAR intends to achieve LEED Certification for the building by reducing water and energy consumption and lowering gas emissions.

The facility’s plans include multiple windows offering frontage to Rainbow Boulevard and outdoor spaces with a view of the Las Vegas skyline, in addition to numerous inside and outside areas for members to meet and collaborate. The association also plans to add some additional space for other organizations to use for classes, events and meetings, with the goal of earning extra revenue for GLVAR.

“Besides being more conveniently located for most of our members, this new building will enable us to better serve local realtors in a variety of ways. We’ve been in our current building (at 1750 E. Sahara Ave.) for more than 30 years. Basically we’ve outgrown the space and needed a new facility that has new and improved educational areas with state-of-the art technology,” Scott Beaudry, GLVAR 2016 president, said in prepared remarks.
