Granite Appoints New SVP, CFO

With 25 years of experience at the company, Jigisha Desai most recently served as vice president of corporate finance & treasurer, and will succeed Laurel Krzeminski, who is set to retire.

Granite has appointed Jigisha Desai to senior vice president & chief financial officer, starting July 9, 2018. She will succeed Laurel Krzeminski, who is set to retire, and will report to current President & Chief Executive Officer James Roberts.

With more than 25 years of experience at Granite, Desai has been a vital member to building the team’s long-term relationships with lenders, insurance markets, sureties and financial advisors. She most recently served as vice president of corporate finance & treasurer, where she was responsible for leading all corporate finance and treasury functions. These included capital allocation, treasury operations, enterprise risk management, capital structure, debt and investment management and corporate development, focusing on the firm’s strategic plan through mergers and acquisitions. 

Desai received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Houston and an M.B.A. in corporate finance from Golden Gate University. In 2016, she completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. She is also a member of the Association of Financial Professionals and is a Certified Treasury Professional.
