Washington—Real estate investment services firm Greysteel recently announced that Brendan Scanlon has joined the company as senior director, debt and structured finance division. He will be responsible for arranging debt and institution joint-venture equity for income-producing development projects.

Previously serving NorthMarq for almost a decade as vice president, Scanlon brings 15 years of experience to Greysteel, having also worked as analyst for Advantus Real Estate Services between 2002 and 2007.

“(Scanlon’s) established track record and reputation in the industry make him an ideal addition to our firm. I believe his depth of experience will greatly augment our forward momentum in serving our clients in structured transactions,” said Ari Firoozabadi, Greysteel co-founder, in a prepared statement.

Scanlon studied at UCLA and Boston College. He also has a master’s degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University.
