HFF Atlanta Office Adds New Member

John Barton will bring in more than two decades of experience to the firm in his new role as managing director.

AtlantaHFF has announced the appointment of John Barton as managing director in the firm’s Atlanta office. Barton will join Managing Director Ralph Smalley and Associate Director Kelly Kuykendall.

With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience under his belt, Barton will be mainly responsible for the company’s office investment sales expansion in Atlanta and Southeastern U.S. Prior to being appointed at HFF, Barton served as senior vice president with Parkway Properties for 16 years, where he facilitated more than $1.5 billion worth of office acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, he arranged joint ventures, leasing and operations on behalf of the firm. The Southern Methodist University magna cum laude graduate also underwrote and negotiated CMBS loans and practiced business law including commercial real estate.
