Hilton Adds Global Head of Full-Service Brands

Prior to joining the company, David Marr worked for Starwood, being responsible for revitalization efforts for the Sheraton flag, as well as for the launch of Tribute Portfolio.

Hilton has hired David Marr as senior vice president & global head of full-service brands. Marr will be reporting to Jim Holthouser, executive vice president of global brands, marketing and loyalty, and oversee Hilton’s full service brands including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

“(Marr) has extensive industry experience and a proven track record of success in developing, launching and growing brands. We believe David is just the right leader for our Full-Service Brands category and are confident that he will be a valuable asset to Hilton,” said Holthouser, in prepared remarks.

Prior to joining Hilton, Marr was senior vice president & global brand leader at Starwood, where he was responsible for leading the revitalization efforts for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts and the launch of Tribute Portfolio in April 2015. He also served as Starwood’s senior vice president of brand management for North America and held several other marketing and sales roles during his 16 years with the company. Marr also held positions at Marriott International for more than 12 years, in sales, marketing and business strategy.
