Hilton Worldwide is determined to add more meat to its European portfolio with the addition of 10 brand new hotels in Germany and Austria.

Following a strategic development agreement with Primestar Hospitality, Hilton is expected to focus on its popular Hampton by Hilton brand. The new hotels will join an array of more than 35 Hilton-branded properties currently trading or in development across Germany and Austria. Of the 35 hotels, 13 are part of the company’s focused service Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands. Hilton and Primestar recently revealed their first collaborative project—Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz.

“Primestar’s market knowledge and strategic growth plans give us an enhanced development platform across core German speaking countries, and this agreement promises further penetration in markets which together attract more than 150 million overnight stays per year,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development, Europe & Africa, Hilton Worldwide in a prepared statement.

The 10 hotels developed by Hilton and Primestar will be located in key cities—Germany and Austria. Managed by Primestar, the hotels will all be newly built, city-center developments. Hampton by Hilton recently unveiled a hotel in Nuremberg City Centre in Germany, and the brand also owns the Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West, which opened in 2010.
