More than 28.1 million domestic and international visitors travel to San Antonio for leisure and business each year. It’s not surprise then that developers keep their eyes on the Countdown City for opportunities.
Los Angeles-based Laurus Corp. has completed a $12 million repositioning of the Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel. The multi-million renovation includes the debut of Asado Seafood & Grill restaurant and lounge as well as the integration of new guestroom amenities.
“The hotel is ideally located on Loop 410, adjacent to North Star Mall, and we’ve equipped the property with amenities that really matter to business travelers, leisure guests and local residents: enhanced internet speed, media connectivity, comfortable beds and dining options through the addition of our new restaurant concept that will resonate with the San Antonio culinary scene,” said Austin Khan, CIO of Laurus Corp.
The newly added restaurant offers a curated menu of international specialties and signature cocktails. There is also a casual lounge with granite bar adjacent to the main dining venue. The hotel’s 384 guest rooms received a facelift as well. Updates include new furniture, lighting, artwork and bathrooms. The renovation also includes a new lobby, concierge lounge, swimming pool, 21,000 square feet of meeting space, front desk and two executive levels with an executive lounge on the top floor.
