The Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the company’s newly launched brand, grows with three additions in southern coastal cities of the U.S. The Troubadour in New Orleans is the first to open, while The Cotton Sail Hotel in Savannah, Ga., and Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, N.C., have been signed and are slated for completion in the first part of next year.

The Troubadour is located at 1111 Gravier St., near New Orleans’ French Quarter. It is a 184-key hotel featuring on-site restaurants, wedding planning services, meeting spaces, digital check-in, a 24-hour fitness center and a rooftop bar.

Guests can enjoy the multiple attractions and popular dining options of the French Quarter, located within walking distance of the Troubadour Hotel. Mercedes-Benz Superdrome, the 166,000-square-foot stadium, is three minutes away, while multiple theaters and event venues are also within easy reach. Canal Street offers the opportunity to travel via light rail towards other parts of the city, as does the nearby Interstate 10. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport can be reached in 25 minutes.

Southern expansion

The other two Hilton brand destinations added will open in the first quarter of 2018. The Cotton Sail will be situated within the city’s historic district and will feature 56 guestrooms, housed within a refurbished late-1800s warehouse. Hotel Ballast in Wilmington will replace a 1970s inn. The property is undergoing an $8.5 million restoration and will feature 272 rooms.

These distinctive properties truly reflect the independent spirit of our collection for their character, vibrant locales and history. From the rich culture in of New Orleans, reflected by The Troubadour through its locally inspired offerings and location in the heart of the city, to coastal towns brimming with southern charm, these hotels undergird our efforts to build an authentic collection brand,” said Mark Nogal, global head of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, in a prepared statement.
