Hines Appoints New Managing Director, Head of India Platform

Amit Diwan will be responsible for managing the expansion of the business by raising and deploying international and domestic capital into both commercial and residential developments.

Hines has appointed Amit Diwan to managing director & country head for Hines India. Diwan will be responsible for managing the expansion of the business by raising and deploying international and domestic capital into development projects and investment opportunities across both residential and commercial projects in major metros in India.

Prior to this position, Diwan served as chief investment officer for Hines’ India platform, where he was responsible for end-to-end investment and asset management. He assisted in shaping the company’s residential strategy in India and secured the first residential developments in Gurgaon and Mumbai. Before joining Hines, Diwan also held positions at Piramal Group, JLL and GE Real Estate, across India and Southeast Asia.
