- Nov 09, 2016
Minneapolis—Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP has announced that Michael Hatting has joined the firm as a partner in the Commercial Transactions practice in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Hatting is the latest real estate attorney to join the local Hinshaw team. Kyle Eidsness, a business litigator formerly with Foley & Mansfield, joined the firm as an associate in early October.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mike to the firm,” Hinshaw Commercial Transactions Chair Dean Parker said in prepared remarks. “His broad transactional experience in real estate development, and his emphasis on commercial lending and historic tax credit financings, adds significant new experience and capabilities to the existing strengths of our real estate, construction and land use practices.”
Hatting brings 16 years of experience in private practice and as in-house counsel for privately held real estate development companies, and also has extensive experience in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, project development, joint venture financing, formation of real estate investment funds, property management and leasing.
Having served for seven years as executive vice president & general counsel at Exeter Realty Co., Hatting takes a practical and common sense approach to his work as counsel.
“I’m really excited at the opportunity to join the firm, and look forward to helping clients on a wide range of real estate transactions here in the Upper Midwest and around the country,” Hatting said in a prepared statement.
Hatting is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law (Juris Doctor) and Macalester College (Bachelor of Arts).
