Hoffman-Madison Waterfront Opens Commercial Leasing at $2B Wharf Waterfront Development

Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, the developers of the $2 billion, world-class Wharf waterfront community in Southwest Washington, D.C., announced that leasing is now open for two of the office buildings included in Phase One of the development. Cushman & Wakefield Inc. has been selected to lease and manage the properties.
The two office buildings will add 485,000 square feet of space to the market. Both are scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2017. They will be located on Maine Avenue and will be LEED Gold certified. The larger of the two is 1000 Maine Ave., with 265,000 square feet of space. The other is 800 Maine Ave., 220,000 square feet; its tenants will have access to The Wharf Club, with its 7,000-square-foot fitness center, meeting rooms and infinity-edged pool.

There has never been an opportunity of the size, location and development potential anywhere in the nation’s capital.”
The 25-acre Wharf mixed-use development is part of the District of Columbia’s Anacostia Waterfront Initiative. When fully finished, it will offer almost 3 million square feet of residential, office, hotel, retail and public space, including waterfront parks, promenades, piers and docks. Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, The Wharf’s development group, comprises PN Hoffman, Madison Marquette, ER Bacon Development, City Partners, Paramount Development and Triden Development.
