Holroyd Opens First US Manufacturing Plant in SC

The company will move into a 34,650-square-foot facility in Spartanburg after a $12 million investment.

Spartanburg, S.C.Holroyd Precision Components, a sub-contract manufacturing division of Precision Technologies Group Ltd., is establishing its first U.S. manufacturing operations at Spartanburg’s Corporate Center. Holroyd Precision Rotors Inc. is a $12.5 million investment that is expected to create 23 new jobs.

The factory will use an existing 34,650-square-foot facility at 130 Corporate Drive in Spartanburg, where operations are expected to be underway in the fall of 2016. The new facility will work closely with clients in the HVAC, air compression, gas transmission and distribution, and fluids processing, metering and handling market sectors. Holroyd’s operations will support new and existing contracts and grow the company’s customer base.

“The selection of Spartanburg as the location for our new U.S. facility was influenced by the area’s strong training and technical skills programs. Our factory is equipped with the best production technology available and we are building a truly exceptional team to manage and operate it,” said Tony Bannan, CEO of Precision Technologies Group, in a prepared statement.

The Corporate Center has nine buildings and approximately 20 tenants on its 193-acre site. This industrial area is less than an hour from Charlotte International Airport and 20 minutes from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the original Holroyd company was established in 1860 and has been at the forefront of special purpose machine tools manufacturing since its foundation. Holroyd also provides sub-contract manufacturing services for special screws and rotors for a wide variety of applications.
