Humboldt Hospitality L.L.C., an asset management venture and solutions consultancy, has struck a joint venture with a newly advisory firm. LW Hospitality Advisors L.L.C.., which launched earlier this month, will provide lodging valuation and consulting services to Humboldt, which was founded in May 2010.

According to Humboldt principal Dave Durbin, the alliance brings together executives with more than 150 years of combined lodging industry experience across a wide range of services including hotel management, development and operations. Durbin co-founded Humboldt with former Crestline Hotels & Resorts colleague Tom Baker as well as Marc Magazine, a former CB Richard Ellis hotels executive.

LW was founded by Daniel Lesser, who founded CB Richard Ellis’s Hospitality & Gaming Valuation Advisory Services Group. His co-founder was Evan Weiss, who was previously an associate at CBRE Hotels. Lesser said that Humboldt’s strength in acquisitions, management and operations proved an apt complement to LW’s expertise.

The firms will retain employees in each other’s offices. Humboldt is based in the Washington, D.C., area, while LW is headquartered in New York.
