Howard Hughes Corp. Adds New Hospitality EVP, Managing Director

Industry veteran Michael Slosser will lead the company’s hospitality efforts across the portfolio.

Dallas—The Howard Hughes Corp. recently hired Michael Slosser as executive vice president & managing director of hospitality.

In his new role, Slosser will be directly responsible for the management and development of the company’s Hospitality Division. He will be based in Houston, where the company’s hospitality portfolio includes the Westin at The Woodlands, an Embassy Suites by Hilton in Hughes Landing and a transformational renovation at the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. The Howard Hughes Corp. owns and manages nearly 1,000 guest rooms in total.

Slosser’s hospitality experience spans almost 20 years, ranging from top business hotels to iconic resorts. For the past 16 years, he oversaw Destination Hotels & Resorts greater southern California market, which includes L’Auberge Del Mar, Paradise Point Resort & Spa, Sheraton Universal, Estancia La Jolla Hotel and the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center.

Prior to this role, Slosser served as vice president of resorts for the Lanai Co., a subsidiary of Castle & Coke, where he was responsible for two of the world’s top resorts—the Manele Bay Hotel and The Lodge at Koele, which were recognized by Conde’s Nast Traveler as the number one and three golf resorts in the world during his tenure. Slosser’s experience also includes time at the Westin Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Stouffer Hotels, as well as Beverly Hilton Hotel and the famed La Costa Resort & Spa.
