Hyatt Hotels Corp. held an official ribbon-cutting event for its latest hospitality facility in Puerto Rico along with partners PRISA Group and McConnell Valdes Consulting. The new Hyatt Place Manati is now the second property operated by the company, along with the Hyatt Place that was officially opened back in December 2013 in the municipality of Bayamon. The Hon. Alejandro Garcia Padilla, the current Governor of Puerto Rico attended the ceremony. Hyatt Place Manati is the first international hotel brand in the north central region of Puerto Rico.
The newly-opened hotel offers guests an amenity package that includes complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the facility, audio-visual equipment, 24-hour Stay Fit fitness center access, while Grab’n Go case offers guests sandwiches and bottled beverages. All rooms feature the signature Hyatt Grand Bed and 42” HDTV sets. The guestrooms all feature top-notch finishes such as granite countertops and bathroom vanities.
The past three months have been important for the relationship between Hyatt Hotels Corp. and Puerto Rico. The company had discontinued its presence on the island for about seven years until the opening of the Hyatt Place in Bayamon. Now, with two facilities already up and running, Hyatt will soon add a third property in San Juan. The new Hyatt House in the main city of Puerto Rico will open later this year, marking an incredible pace of expansion for the hospitality operator.
According to a recently issued press release, Vice President of Brands, Hyatt Place, Chris Walker, said that the “second opening furthers the meaningful growth of our brand in Puerto Rico, and throughout the U.S., Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America over the next few years.”
With the opening of Hyatt Place Manati, the hotel operator is edging closer to the 200-hotel milestone, indications that Hyatt’s brand is gathering momentum across the world, garnering a number of awards regarding its hospitality services.
