BostonThe Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, recently announced Glenn Sampert as general manager of the Boston property.

“The hotel combines luxury with an energetic social experience in a truly unique way. Combined with the recent $11 million guest room renovation, there is simply no hotel in Boston that compares, and I am excited to join the hotel’s excellent team of associates and become a part of the Beacon Hill community,” the new manager said in prepared remarks.

A hospitality management veteran, Sampert has served as general manager for a number of North American Starwood properties in the last decade and a half, including The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Ariz.; The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort & Casino; The Westin Maui Resort & Spa; and the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel in Hamilton, Ontario.

Sampert holds a hospitality and tourism administration diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) certification awarded by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

The 298-key Liberty Hotel is located at 215 Charles St., in Boston’s Beacon Hill/West End area. Situated next to the Charles/MGH station, the building sits steps from the Longfellow Bridge and within a short walk from Charles Street’s many cafes, shops and restaurants. The pet-friendly hotel features a business center, terrace, fitness facility, valet parking, private helicopter service, 6,000 square feet of meeting space and six food and beverage venues.
