International: Carlson Rezidor Splurges in Latin America

The hotel giant is expanding its Radisson Blu brand in both North and South America.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is expanding its Radisson Blu brand in Latin America, as announced at the Global Business Travel Association Convention in Orlando. The hospitality giant will open three hotels—a redeveloped property in Chile and two new builds in Colombia.

Radisson Blu Santiago, La Dehesa will come to life through the transformation of Radisson Petra La Dehesa Hotel that will include enhancements to the guest rooms, public areas and food and beverage outlets. It will offer a mix of guest rooms and suites along with a flexible meeting and event space, a full-service spa and health club. The 105-key hotel is expected to open by the first quarter of 2016.

Radisson Blu San Andrés Resort & Spa will be built on the Caribbean island of San Andrés. The boutique resort will offer 77 suites, each with its own individual plunge pool. It will also have two restaurants, a full-service spa, fitness center and several bars including a pool bar and large terrace bar. The beachfront facility is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2016

The 190-key Radisson Blu ar Santa Marta Resort & Spa in Santa Marta, Colombia will offer a poolside- and a themed restaurant and bar on the rooftop terrace, as well as 17,000 square feet of meeting space, a spa and several fitness facilities. This one is scheduled to open in 2017.

The Radisson Blu brand currently encompasses more than 280 hotels in 62 countries. The hotels are located in prime locations in major cities, airport gateways and leisure destinations across the world.
