Once completed, the 1,399-foot tall Marina 101 will become the world’s tallest residential building and the second tallest tower in the United Arab Emirates.

According to a news release, the hotel will feature a soon-to-be-unveiled club lounge and dining facility in the building’s 101st floor, and special amenities such as the Rock Spa and the Body Rock workout facility. “As an ongoing effort to continue expanding the Hard Rock Hotels portfolio, we are thrilled to announce Hard Rock Hotel Dubai Marina with experienced partners like the Abu Dhabi Financial Group,” said Hamish Dodds, CEO of Hard Rock International in a news release. “We look forward to launching out hotel product to a region already familiar with and embracing of our café brand.”

Located in the popular Dubai Marina neighborhood, the Marina 101 tower will feature five restaurants, 252 one-, 204 two-, and 42 three-bedroom apartments with six duplex penthouses from the 97th to the 100th floor. Additionally, the tower developed by Sheffield Holdings will feature a number of health clubs and swimming pools on different levels. Scheduled for completion in December 2014, Marina 101 is located in close proximity to other popular projects in the area, such as Jumeirah Beach, Marina Walk, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, as well as famous leisure and shopping destinations, such as Mall of the Emirates and The Dubai Mall.
