Vida Hotels and Resorts Unveils Manzil Downtown Dubai
- Jan 20, 2015
Manzil Downtown Dubai, Emaar Hospitality Group’s latest lifestyle boutique hotel, is now open to the public. Located on Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, the 197-key property is managed by Vida Hotels and Resorts – the brand associated with the 156-room Vida Downtown Dubai and the adjacent 320-unit Vida Residence Downtown Dubai serviced residence.
Overlooking Souk Al Bahar, the hotel is in walking distance to Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport and – due to its central location in the Emirates’ most populous city – it provides convenient access to Dubai’s most important business centers. The Dubai Metro station is also effortlessly reachable through a travelator from The Dubai Mall and, in addition, Manzil Downtown Dubai also provides guests a complimentary shuttle service to key locations in the city.
The boutique hotel has 155 345-square-foot king rooms with views of either the hotel’s outdoor leisure pool or the Burj Khalifa, 56 twin rooms as well as eight so-called Burj View Suites with a separate living area, guest bathroom and balcony, spanning 517 square feet. The rooms feature 42-inch flat TVs with IPTV system for room service, web browsing and music; media hub; tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are decorated with classical Arabian design elements, using a palette of earth tones –predominantly brown, beige and white.
Manzil Downtown Dubai offers a choice of leisure amenities including the aforementioned temperature-controlled swimming pool and deck, a modern fitness center and the Tawasal desk – a self-service business hub in the hotel lobby available 24/7. The meeting rooms on the mezzanine floor offer airy spaces with an open, serve-yourself kitchen as well as a dedicated chef. The hotel includes four further restaurants and lounges. The Courtyard serves meals from the wider Middle Eastern cuisine along with sheesha, more commonly known as water pipe or hubby-bubbly. Boulevard Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant also serves food from across the Middle East along with authentic Emirati desserts and a selection of Arabic tea-specialties. Nezesaussi –which is short for New Zealand, South Africa and Australia – is a sports hub concept serving food from the tri-nation countries, scheduled to reopen this February. Finally, the 200-seat Fümé Downtown offers an award-winning menu of simple, home-cooked comfort food in a vintage-style two-story space also set to open in in the first quarter of 2015.
