The firm will occupy 37,948 square feet of office space on a long-term lease and will relocate approximately 200 employees from its Cambridge, Mass., office. Located at 2 Avenue de Lafayette, the six-story, 615,000-square-foot property comprises 160,000 square feet of retail space. The asset was originally constructed in 1984 and was part of a mixed-use complex that encapsulated a former 500-key hotel and a mall, which was converted to office in 1997. The Abbey Group completely redeveloped it in 2014 and Lafayette City Center now features a state-of-the-art open lobby, new entrance, open floor plans, refurbished interiors, 24-hour security and a three-level underground parking garage with 1,056 parking spaces. Additionally, the property has achieved LEED-certified status.

Lafayette City Center sits in the midst of Boston’s vibrant Downtown Crossing district, bounded by retailers, restaurants, residences, landmarks, art galleries, fitness centers, banks and the 50-acre Boston Common park. The property offers easy access throughout the entire area via 3 MBTA lines, trains and major highways, such as Massachusetts Route 3 and Massachusetts Turnpike.
