JLL to Lease Office Portion of Seattle Mixed-Use Campus

The Southport on Lake Washington is moving onto the next stage, pre-leasing its 700,000-square-foot office space. The JLL team of Cleita Harvey, JJ Shephard, Riley Shephard and Tim Jones will oversee the leasing of the Southport Office Campus.
Developed by SECO Development, the 2.4 million-square-foot mixed-use project will include a three-building office campus, the 383-unit luxury Bristol Residences, 30,000 square feet of retail space and a 347-key Hyatt Regency. The entire office portion will include 10,279 square feet of retail and 695,159 square feet of garage parking with 2,121 spaces. The campus will also feature space for 194 bicycles, storage for kayaks, locker rooms and interconnected common spaces between the buildings. Occupancy for the office portion is set to start as early as July 2018.
“Throughout the Puget Sound region we’re seeing a subtle shift among millennials, especially those with young families, toward greater affordability, access to schools and recreational amenities,” said JJ Shephard of JLL, in prepared remarks. “This growing trend is going to lead some major employers to want to diversify their workplace offerings in order to recruit and retain these key employees. Commute times are increasing, the cost of housing is skyrocketing and the workday is getting longer. Southport’s unique waterfront experience, physical location and world-class amenities, puts it head and shoulders above other campuses in the area.”
The development is located in close proximity to the Seattle Seahawks training camp, Virginia Mason Athletic Center, the 57-acre Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park and the mixed-use project The Landing, a shopping, dining and entertainment center. Southport also offers access to interstates 405, 5, 90 and State Road 900; and is a 10 minute drive to Seattle’s International Airport.
