JMA Ventures, Blue Vista Acquire NV Portfolio

American Nevada Co. sold the five assets located in the Green Valley submarket of Henderson. The office properties total 271,000 square feet.

A joint venture between JMA Ventures and Blue Vista Capital Management has acquired five Class A and B office properties from American Nevada Co. The portfolio, located in the Green Valley submarket of Henderson, Nev., totals 271,000 square feet. This represents the firm’s four purchase in the greater Las Vegas market.

“We continue to believe that markets like Las Vegas and Reno, Nev., offer an increasingly appealing option for businesses and employers looking for more affordable and high-quality-of-life communities in which to grow their businesses,” said Todd Chapman, president of JMA Ventures, in prepared remarks. “Be it the boutique Aloft Hotel we are developing in Reno or the portfolio of market-leading office assets we are purchasing in Henderson, we believe investing in Nevada is a smart decision given its attractive economic climate and unrivaled lifestyle offerings.”

Back in February, Blue Vista Capital Management partnered with Harbor Associates on the $22.9 million acquisition of Conejo Corporate Campus, a two-building office complex in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Located at 2380 and 2400 Conejo Spectrum St., the property comprises 198,500 square feet on an 11-acre site. Built in 2001 for Amgen, which fully occupied the assets until 2011, the buildings will undergo a re-engineering of space to convert the single-tenant layout to a floor plan that can accommodate users seeking spaces ranging from 8,000 to 100,000 square feet.
