Joint Venture Plans Speculative Industrial, Office Expansion at Business Park in Zebulon

A joint venture between Mark Andrews of TME Investments and the Noël family is planning to expand the Triangle East Business Park in Zebulon.
According to the Eastern Wake News, construction on the first of several potential industrial and office projects at the site began in January. The new single-story speculative flex building called Triangle East Business Park Lot 2 will provide 20,000 square feet of office, warehouse and manufacturing space for a variety of businesses. Scheduled for completion in May 2015, the project is being marketed by the Raleigh office of CBRE.
The construction contractor is Bobbitt Design Build, an employee-owned company which has built more than 3,500 commercial buildings throughout the Carolinas.
Expansion plans for Triangle East, formerly known as the Zebulon Industrial Park, call for six new sites to the east of Industrial Drive, and South of NMC Drive and two to the north of NMC adjacent to Nomacorc. The projects range from 20,000 to 72,800 square feet on lots of 3 to 8.27 acres.
“Zebulon is a part of the Triangle and we need people from outside this market to understand that just because Zebulon is outside Raleigh or (Research Triangle Park), you can still be a business there that supports the Triangle,” Daniel Jackson, the lead broker for the CBRE Raleigh team handling leasing for the facility, told the newspaper. “Just because Zebulon is in the far east side of the Triangle, it still has great access to I-95, U.S. 64, future I-495 and I-40.”
Other major projects developed by TME Investments in the Triangle region include the 73,000-square-foot Lake Plaza East in Raleigh, 74,000-square-foot Miami North Office Park in Durham and the 53,000-square-foot Investment Plaza near North Hills in Raleigh.
Marc Noël owns about 120 acres within the Zebulon business park where Nomaco and Nomacorc, two of his largest manufacturing plants, are located.
